If you havent heard by now, Yahoo has reported that it has been hacked and there has been a massive breach of 500 million Yahoo accounts. It took place in late 2014 which means that they have had the information gathered for almost two years. The details include names, email addresses, telephone numbers, dates of birth and security obscured passwords. They also lost some users encrypted or encrypted security questions such as mothers maiden name, first car or pet, etc.

But even if you never created a Yahoo email address, you may still be at risk.

Experts have warned that there may be millions of people who have been affected without even knowing it. Certain accounts such as Flickr and Tumblr might have been affected as well.

So if you do have a Yahoo email address, a Flickr account or Tumblr account, then change your password. You should also watch out for any scams where people might attempt to use the information obtained through the hack.
